(Dekret) von den Sinopeern.vacat 0,045Beschluss des Volkes, die Strategen stellten den Antrag: Da Dion-nos S.d. Polytion aus Kos, als Gesandter geschicktin der Zeit des Krieges von der Stadt der Koer, stetsin Wort und Tat das Rechte unternahm, wobei er weder Mühenoch Gefahr scheute und Nutzen erwiesdem Volk insgesamt als auch privat den ihn ersuchendenBürgern und sich als vortrefflicher Mann erweist und ergebengegenüber der Stadt; und er auch bei seinem Auftritt vorder Volksversammlung das Volk darüber informierte und seinenAufenthalt in einer für sich und die Stadt der Koer würdigen Weise gestaltete,möge beschließen das Volk: dass man belobige Dionnos wegen seines Wohlwollensund seiner Ergebenheit gegenüber den Sinopeern und ihn bekränzemit goldenem Kranz; dass die Prytanen vacatfür den Monat Anthesterion verkünden den Kranzfür Dionnos, wenn die Spiele stattfinden, und folgendeAnsage machen: “Das Volk der Sinopeerbekränzt Dionnos S.d. Polytion aus Kos, wegen seines Wohlwollensund seiner Ergebenheit ihm gegenüber”; dass ihm auch sein sollebevorrechtigter Zutritt zu dem Rat und dem Volk gleich nach den sakralen Angelegenheiten;dass die Strategen und die anderen AmtsträgerSorge tragen für ihn und seine Nachkommen, damitsie sich aller Privilegien erfreuen können; dass manihn auch zum Bankett einlade. Damit aber auch in Kosder Kranz bei den Dionysien am ersten Wettkampfund bei den Großen Asklepieia an dem gymnischenWettkampf verkündet und damit der Beschluss aufgestellt werde im Heiligtumdes Asklepios an dem hervorragendsten Platz - - -- - - den - - - der Koer - - -- - -- - -
From the Sinopeans vacat 0,045It was decreed by the people, the generals proposed: inasmuch as Dion-nos son of Polytion, Koan, sent as ambassadorby the city of the Koans during the war, undertookto say and do everything that was advantageous, declining nolabor or danger, and fulfills their needsin public for the people and in private for those citizens who encounterhim and is a good and devoted mantoward the city; and coming before theassembly he has made a presentation to the people about these things andhas visited in a manner worthy of himself and of the city of the Koans,it is decreed by the people: to praise Dionnos for his good willand devotion toward the Sinopeans and crownhim with a gold crown; the prytaniesvacat 0,018in the month Anthesterion are to proclaim the crownfor Dionnos at a contest, makingthis proclamation: “The people of the Sinopeanscrowns Dionnos son of Polytion, Koan, for his good will andthe evotion he hd towards them”; he is to haveaccess to the council and people immediately after sacred matters;the generals and the other magistrates areto take care of him and his descendants so thatthey receive every benefit; he is also to beinvited to hospitality; so that also in Kos isproclaimed and the next contest of the Dionysiaand at the great Asklepieia at the athlecticcontest and that the decree is set up in the temple ofdes Asklepios in the most conspicuous place - - -- - - to the - - - of the Koans - - -- - -- - -
